A Conservative campaigner got more than she bargained for after visiting a North Wales home

She definitely knocked on the wrong door.
She definitely knocked on the wrong door. She definitely knocked on the wrong door.

A Conservative campaigner received an response she couldn’t have been prepared for after knocking on a door in North Wales.

Tom James was in the middle of a Facetime with his mother Clare – who lives Labour-held constituency of Delyn – when she was met by an activist.

In the video of the meeting shared by Tom, Clare gives the anonymous woman a good telling off during the attempts to persuade her to vote for the Conservative Party on June 8.

She can be heard saying: “I work with disabled children. They’ve cut and cut and cut services and money for disabled children. And I know what it’s like. I know what it’s like to be in those houses.”

The campaigner – who is off-camera – then asks Clare if she wants “an IRA supporter in charge of our country” to which the mother responds: “I don’t give a s**t about the IRA. I really do not want your s**t through my door ever again.”

Well, that’s that then.
