You can pay for coffee with a poem today

Get writing! Get writing!

For one day only, Londoners will be able to pay for their coffee by composing a poem.

Coffee roaster Julius Meinl is teaming up with hundreds of coffee shops across Europe and the US to offer free tea or coffee to anyone who writes a poem and presents it at the till.

“It’s all in aid of World Poetry Day,” says Julius Meinl’s chief executive Marcel Löffler. “Join Pay With A Poem and experience how a simple cup of coffee – paid for by poetry – can inspire creative and poetic moments in life.”
