Ben on the Ropes

EastEnders (BBC1)

Following some words of wisdom from George, a troubled Ben makes it to Jay’s parental hearing, but Honey knows something is still wrong and tries to get him to open up about his eating disorder.

When Ben later sees Honey talking to Callum, he wrongly assumes she’s shared his secret, but his husband only finds out the truth when he arrives home and catches Ben purging.

Later, Kat finds Ben venting his frustrations on a punchbag at the Boxing Den and offers him her advice as a fellow rape survivor. Will she be the one who finally gets through to him?

Sonia is still reeling from Reiss saying he never wants kids, and she’s given even more reason to worry when she finds him trying to hack into her phone.

Zack and Whitney also have children on their mind as she tells him she doesn’t want to try for another baby, and Yolande turns up in the Square following a fight with her boyfriend, but will Patrick let her stay?

All Sewn Up?

Coronation Street (ITV1)

Rufus’s widow Lou announces she expects the authorities to find that her husband was murdered, which worries Stephen. However, when the report comes out, it states that the Coroner has filed a verdict of death by misadventure.

The killer is relieved, but not for long. Stephen’s guilt threatens to overwhelm him at Rufus’s memorial, and matters take another turn when Lou reveals that a tie pin found at the scene did not belong to her husband – and that she plans to hand it in to the police for further investigation. Peter is also concerned – he admits he found Rufus’s watch in his cab and pawned it to pay for Carla’s rehab.

Jenny’s hopes of selling the Rovers to the Newtons are dashed, until Gemma realises she may be able to talk Henry round.

Eliza contacts her father, Max is torn between two girls and Hope is upset when she doesn’t get the lead role in the Little Big Shotz summer show.

Laurel is Kidnapped

Emmerdale (ITV1)

When Laurel and Jai’s plans to go to India are jeopardised by a poorly Archie, the Sharma-Thomas household become a battlefield – and Jai ends up heading out on the trip alone.

However, Laurel is hopeful that she can still join him, and goes to retrieve Marshall’s passport, only to end up being held hostage by an increasingly unstable Colin.

Suni realises something is wrong, but Nicola tries to talk him out of messaging Jai, believing that the rowing couple just need some space. But as Colin’s behaviour becomes dangerous, will anyone come to Laurel’s aid in time?

Nate’s new job proves impressively lucrative, and Corey reassures him there’s no need to tell Caleb about what a generous tipper their client, Harry, is. However, when Caleb confides in his nephew that he thinks Corey is up to something dodgy, Nate finds himself in the uncomfortable position of being a double agent.

Amelia persuades Dan they should go on the run, and Cain provides them with the ferry tickets and burner phone they need to get to Ireland, but will Dan really become a fugitive from justice?

Fight of His Life

Norma convinces Felix to take part in another fight with the promise of a big pay day, but the bout turns ugly. Will Sharon be able to patch him up again, and will he finally have to come clean to Mercedes?

Norma also has a little job for Warren, but he later discovers it was just a ruse to get him out of the way. The mother and son eventually agree that they should try going legit by taking over Grace’s interest in the Loft. However, when their first act as managers is to cancel Ella’s sweet 16 party, they risk opening a whole new can of worms.

After he suffers a panic attack in the village, Charlie tells Darren that he wants to try to medication to help with his mental health, but he’s less willing to consider counselling. Could speaking to Shing Lin be the first step towards him getting the support he needs?

Ethan tries to show he trusts Sienna, and James continues in his mission to make the McQueens homeless, but whose side is Ste on?

Caught in the Blast

Home and Away (Channel 5)

In the immediate aftermath of the Stunning Organics explosion, Mali rushes to check on Roo and John, and discovers they are both alive but in a bad way.

All three of them are taken to hospital, where Roo reveals that she can’t feel her legs, and it’s discovered that the blast has left Mali with a perforated eardrum, which could have serious consequences for his job as a surf teacher.

Marilyn tells a guilt-ridden Kirby that no one could have predicted that taking on a cosmetics company would have such dramatic repercussions, but is she really trying to convince herself?

Elsewhere, Felicity is struggling to talk about her ordeal, and Tane’s attempts to be sensitive to her trauma just leave her feeling rejected.

Leah tells Justin that she wants Andrew to live with them permanently, but the teen fears he’s putting them and Theo in danger.

Mercedes’ continued presence grates on Eden, and Xander encourages Kate to find a way to stay in her stepson’s life.
