Chery has given its range of SUVs a more off-road-inspired model with the new Tiggo X7.

Arriving as the first car in a new range of Tiggo-X-badged models, the Tiggo X7 aims to bring a far more adventurous feel than the standard Tiggo 7.

As a result, the Tiggo X7 gets a far more upright and chunky design with squared-off wheelarch surrounds and a big, square grille. There are also slim headlights and up top, full-length roof rails. Initial images appear to show the Tiggo X7 wearing more off-road-focused tyres, too.

Unveiled as part of the Chery Global User Summit, the new Tiggo X7 made its global debut but hasn’t yet had a confirmed on-sale date in the UK.

Alongside the X7, an updated version of the standard Tiggo 7. First introduced to the UK in August 2025, the Tiggo 7 has been a mainstay of the Chery brand but has received some visual updates. It appears to have gained more intricate headlights and a larger grille, while up top there appears to be a unit for a LIDAR system which can help assistance systems to work more effectively.

Chery has yet to reveal what will be used to power the new Tiggo X7 and revised 7, but it’s likely to be a continuation of one of its hybrid systems, be that a ‘regular’ hybrid or a plug-in version. Prices for both cars will likely be announced soon, too.
