National Leagues: What’s on the box this weekend?

The Allianz NFL has all sorts of permutations in Round 7, while the hurling semi-finals will separate the best from the rest.

The all-Ulster clash of Cavan and Fermanagh will be one of four football matches to be broadcast this weekend, with both Division One Allianz NHL semi-finals also live from Croke Park and Laois Hire O’Moore Park respectively.

Fermanagh will be seeking a victory to secure safety in a repeat of last year’s Division Three final, although they remain without the services of their goalscorer from that occasion, Darragh McGurn.

Cavan have little to play for, but will be hoping to end a decent campaign on a high and avoid a third defeat to Ulster opposition this spring, with a Championship meeting with Monaghan on the horizon.

Louth’s match with relegated Kildare is the other live game in Division Two, as the Wee County aim to avoid joining Glenn Ryan’s charges in the third tier for 2025.

The NHL semis see Limerick meet Kilkenny on Saturday, while Clare face off against Tipperary on Sunday.

Kilkenny ace Paddy Deegan of O'Loughlin Gaels.
