Scotstown and Newbridge will take the field once more to replay their Ulster Senior Club Football Championship semi-final next week in Armagh at the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds.

Throw-in is fixed for 4pm on Sunday, November 30, with a pitch inspection due to take place after Saturday’s Ulster Senior Club Hurling final between Sleacht Néill and St John’s.

Should the pitch be deemed unfit for the game, then Brewster Park and Kingspan Breffni are on standby to host the venue.

As a result, the Ulster Club Senior Football Championship final has been pushed back by six days to the evening of Saturday, December 13.

Scotstown were leading the way 1-4 to three points in the semi-final at the break, with Mattie Maguire scoring the game’s only goal at O’Neill’s Healy Park in Omagh.

At half-time, referee Joe McQuillan performed an initial assessment of the damage to the pitch before calling both sets of managers out for a formal inspection.

The Cavan official dropped a ball off a sidden patch in the middle of the park, with the ball skidding away and not bouncing back at all, which was all the evidence he needed to put the game on hold as the pitch was deemed too dangerous.

Either Scotstown or Newbridge will take on Kilcoo in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship final for the provincial title and a semi-final place in the All-Ireland Club SFC.
