Holy Trinity Cookstown 3-13 Dean Maguirc College 3-6
A strong third quarter display during which they scored 2-6 without reply helped propel Holy Trinity Cookstown to Danske Back Corn Colmcille success against Dean Maguirc Carrickmore in Pomeroy on Monday afternoon.
Dean Maguirc were the better side in the opening period and that was reflected on the scoreboard as they established a 2-5 to 0-4 advantage at the interval.
James Kerr gave them the perfect start with a fifth minute goal and PK Murphy tagged on three points and while Holy Trinity responded with scores from Conan Doris and Ciaran McKeown a major from James Conway had the Dean in control.
All of that was about to change though as the winners blitzed their opponents on the restart.

Timmy Kelly had the ball in the net after two minutes and points followed from McKeown, Finn Daly and Kelly with McKeown bagging their second goal in the 40th minute.
Sean McGlinchey eventually opened Dean’s second half account with a goal to give them hope of a comeback but they were to register just a further score as Holy Trinity stayed on top. Kelly got their third goal with McKeown adding a late brace to take his personal haul to 1-6.
Liam Linden presented the Cup to joint captains Ciaran McKeown and Conan Woods.
