AN All-Ireland title for Cullyhanna will be a “massive lift” for Armagh club football, says Orchard county manager Kieran McGeeney.

Cullyhanna take on Cork and Munster champions Cill na Martra in the All-Ireland Intermediate final at Croke Park today (3.30pm) and McGeeney says the county is right behind the St Patrick’s side who are Armagh’s first Ulster champions since Crossmaglen won the senior title in 2015.

“I want to wish them the best of luck,” said the  Armagh manager.

“Stephen Reel and Mal Mackin are managing them and they’ve been outstanding all year. They have Aidan (Nugent), Jason (Duffy) and Ross (McQuillan) in the team and everybody is behind them. It has been great for Armagh club football in general because we haven’t been too good in the club scene for the last few years and it will be a massive lift for the county if the boys take something home.

“I don’t think we’ll see the three lads (at county training) next week, hopefully they have something to celebrate and they enjoy themselves and we see them the week after.”
