A 1.5-acre site adjacent to a new McDonald’s restaurant in West Belfast with planning permission granted for a petrol station/shop is up for sale for £1.75 million.

The development opportunity off McKinstry/Creightons Road in Derriaghy allows for commercial interests with planning permission already granted to a portion of the site for a petrol/filling station and convenience store.

CBRE which is looking after the sale, says the remainder of the site is suitable for roadside retail or leisure uses and benefits from ‘considerable footfall’ from the neighbouring McDonald’s drive-thru restaurant.

The site is three miles north of Lisburn City and easy reach of densely populated areas of Derriaghy, Lambeg, Lisburn, Lagmore, Twinbrook and Poleglass.

McDonald's opened a restaurant in the same area in 2020 creating 120 roles.

The 24/7 dual lane drive-thru restaurant marked the fast food chain's 32nd eatery in Northern Ireland at the time of its launch.
