AUSTRALIA-born artist Danni Simpson, whose work has been showcased in cities all over the world and who had a large scale mural displayed for US President Joe Biden during his Belfast visit, has signed a new commercial partnership, this time with designer outlet The Boulevard in Banbridge.

Now domiciled in Northern Ireland, Danni specialises in commercial murals and illustrations, and her natural passion and talent for art has allowed her to complete a large number of projects and travel the globe to paint the world.

She has showcased her art in cities all over the globe, including a major project for the 2018 Commonwealth Games held on the Gold Coast in her native Australia.

Danni has also worked her way throughout Europe, designing numerous murals for cafes, bars and restaurants.

As well as murals, she has worked alongside top high street labels, creating their digital illustrations and designs, and her success has led to many different collaborations with well-known brands such as Jameson, Powers Whiskey and Jetts Fitness.

Her style is an urban fusion of detailed floral illustrations where wildlife clashes with architecture and typography, sprinkled through with dashes of art deco and mandala patterns.

Beyond her work commercially, Danni has been invited to appear at a number of events across the UK and Ireland such as Electric Picnic, Upfest Street Art Festival and Hit The North.

She continues to travel the world, leaving her mark wherever she goes, and hopes to ignite a creative spark in everyone who sees her art.

Her latest creative partnership for The Boulevard’s marketing campaign will be an urban fusion of detailed floral illustrations where wildlife clashes with architecture and typography in Danni’s distinguishable style; showcasing the attractions of the outlet centre on an international scene.

Danni’s artwork will bring together Northern Ireland landmarks and The Boulevard identifiers such as the archway onsite, the telephone box and the sphere water feature in a simple and bright colour palette, in keeping with her usual style of art.

The spring campaign is fashion-focused with the headline message ‘Time to Bloom’, based around emerging from a cold winter into a new season and refreshing your wardrobe with The Boulevard, whose retail director Chris Nelmes said he was “thrilled to continue our art partnerships and collaborate with the extremely talented Danni.”

Danni said: “I was honoured to be approached by The Boulevard and support their creative campaigns for 2023. The retail outlet is so bright and colourful. I felt like it was a perfect pairing with my style of art.

“I love telling a story through my floral, typography and landmark based illustrations, especially when it can be painted onto large-scale murals people can engage with and with the large footfall that The Boulevard receives, it’s really special to connect my art with so many eyes.”
