IRISH homeware brand Murmur has opened its first-ever standalone store.

The 1,108 sq ft inaugural store, which opened at The Boulevard near Banbridge, is the first of a chain of stores the company plans to establish across the UK and Ireland.

Part of the Bedeck family, Murmur will sell lines across bedding, soft furnishings, gifting and home fragrance.

An initial six jobs have been created at the retail scheme owned by Lotus Property.

The Boulevard’s retail director, Chris Nelmes said Murmur’s first standalone store was one of three new tenants signed in the first half of 2022. With New Look opening a new outlet and Kate Spade New York opening its first Northern Ireland premises.

“We’re delighted The Boulevard has been the desired location for these brand firsts. It’s testament to the success of the scheme and the level of investment that has been made in the past few years to attract a desirable tenant mix, engage and nurture our loyal customer base and continue to attract new visitors.”
