THE Grand Central in Belfast will now offer guests access to over 7,000 newspapers and magazines from more than 120 countries.

While many hotels offer a limited number of complimentary newspapers to guests, the Hastings Group said it is the first hotelier in the north to offer complimentary access to PressReader.

Accessible via an app on smartphone or tablets, guests will automatically receive access when they connect to the new Belfast city centre hotel’s wi-fi network.

Managing director Howard Hastings said he believes the service will be used well, particularly by those visiting from overseas who will be able to access their local newspaper.

“We continue to be committed to providing the very best experience for our guests. When visiting a hotel, whether it is for business or pleasure, it’s always nice to take time to keep up-to-date with the news or switch off with your favourite magazine.

“Whether enjoying a coffee or lunch in the Grand Café, waiting for a friend in the Seahorse Bar or staying overnight, guests can simply connect to the Grand Central’s Wi-Fi network to download PressReader and have thousands of publications at their fingertips for free. What’s more, the publications can be saved to devices and read later.”
