A CO Antrim manufacturer has just completed a £1 million contract at Ireland's first Center Parcs holiday resort.

Ballynure-based RGM Vent has completed the full ventilation works at the 400-acre Longford Forest site, which opens in the summer.

Founded in 2004, the company, part of the RGM Holdings group, provides bespoke ventilation solutions for the construction industry.

Previous contracts include Windsor Park football stadium, Queen's University and the SS Nomadic in Belfast, as well as the Olympic Park in London.

Managing director, Raymond Murphy said RGM is proud to be associated with the new Center Parcs resort.

“The Center Parcs project initially started out as a small €40,000 contract, but due to the excellent service that RGM were delivering on site, our client asked us to complete the full ventilation installation for the entire resort," he said

"It has taken nine months from start to finish and is a project that we are extremely proud to have been involved with."

Looking ahead and Mr Murphy believes the future is bright at the Co Antrim firm.

“We’re an ambitious company and are currently on target to achieve our largest turnover to date at the end of this financial year," he said.

"We have recently procured our premises and carried out a full renovation to future proof our business growth and offer our clients the most professional services available in our sector.”

“We have added three other divisions to RGM Holdings which are performing extremely well. One of those divisions has secured a ten-year British Government backed maintenance and installation contract that is going to be an important platform for the group over the next number of years," Mr Murphy added.

Julie Skelly, business manager at Danske Bank, which has provided financial support to RGM Vent, hailed the company as a "great success story".

“The business has committed to investing in its staff and the firm’s purchase of new premises last year is a vote of confidence in the local area. Working across Great Britain and Ireland has helped the company expand at an accelerated pace and we look forward to contributing to their future successes," she said.

Limavady-based FastHouse has supplied and installed 466 timber lodge frames at the new €233 million Center Parcs Ireland resort, while a number of Northern Ireland companies have secured lucrative supply contracts. Among them, Henderson Foodservice will be supplying the ambient food while the frozen food contract has been awarded to Lynas Foodservice in Coleraine.
