CONSTRUCTION giant Graham has completed a £1.4 million state-of-the-art fit-out of U105's office and broadcasting studio at the company's new 10,500 sq ft premises in City Quays 2, the latest development to complete as part of Belfast Harbour’s £250 million regeneration scheme.

The project, which started last September, involved the creation of three broadcasting studios, an associated IT/transmission room, reception and vending area, meeting rooms, and office space for both U105 and the digital businesses Simply Zesty and Tibus.

Graham's project manager Eoin King said: "Our in-house design team developed the design of this project from its initial conception and managed it through to completion.

"We worked closely with an acoustic consultant carrying out acoustic testing throughout the build. This allowed us to assess quality and be certain that the finished product not only met but exceeded our client’s expectations."

He added: "Graham challenges convention so that our clients receive interior fit-out solutions that blend high-end aesthetics with flexible functionality.

"Throughout the retail, office and commercial sectors, the quality of our work is renowned for its attention to detail and it has set the standard across the UK and Ireland, making us the preferred supplier."

U105 station manager Peter McVerry said: "We wanted to create a purpose-built broadcasting space that would ensure we continue to deliver a premium service while supporting the company's wider development plans, and Graham has delivered on our vision.

"Indeed we believe this is the best performing studio within the group in terms of acoustics and functionality.”
