Comber-based food producer Mash Direct has secured a lucrative deal to start selling their vegetable side dishes in Qatar.

The Mash Direct range will be available in hypermarket chain Lulu from tomorrow as the as the Northern Irish food and farming innovation continues to grow.

The company will be launching twenty products from their range into Lulu Hypermarket stores, including its popular potato croquettes and mashed potato ranges.

The sixth-generation farm are already exporting to Dubai and the new contract with Qatar is another step to help the company reach its goal of a £20 million turnover by 2020.

New markets director Jack Hamilton said the new deal was great news for the company.

We have been exporting to the UAE for about two years now and it is very positive to see that our Northern Irish brand is going down so well with the Middle Eastern market. It goes to show that having a healthy, convenient and tasty product goes down well with consumers anywhere in the world.”
