CITB-Construction Skills NI has secured £379,000 in funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) under its Skills for the Future programme to deliver the first-ever heritage specialist apprenticeship programme in wood occupations in Northern Ireland.
Twelve participants will receive structured training and assessment with experienced heritage contractors from September, leading to the achievement of the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Heritage Skills (Construction) - Wood Occupations.
