EastSide Arts Festival brings more than 100 events to Belfast in August

PERFORMANCES by English singer Nick Lowe and Irish choral ensemble Anúna will be among the musical highlights at the EastSide Arts Festival in Belfast next month.

The festival, which takes place across 40 venues in the east of the city and the city centre from August 10-21, also includes drama, film screenings, readings and workshops with everything and everyone from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Big Lebowski, the Ulster Orchestra, Anthony Toner, Lucy Caldwell and Tim McGarry's take on 1916 and all that on the bill.

Best known as a songwriter and producer, Nick Lowe has worked with the likes of Elvis Costello and Dr Feelgood while Anúna have recorded 17 albums and collaborated with Barry Manilow and The Chieftans, among others. Both headline concerts which will be staged in the stunning setting of St Patrick’s Church, Ballymacarrett.
