FOR many young ballet dancers in the north, the chance to become the next Margot Foteyn or Rudolf Nureyev is something that they can only dream about. But there's now an opportunity for a lucky few to perform the classic ballet Swan Lake in Belfast on the same stage as professional dancers.

The English Youth Ballet (EYB) is holding a special audition at Methodist College on Sunday April 23 as it searches for 100 male and female dancers aged from 8-18. The young hopefuls will be offered the chance to rehearse with and then dance alongside international professional principal dancers in the production for four performances to be presented at the Grand Opera House, Belfast from November 9-11.
