NICK Cave & The Bad Seeds have revealed Jesus Alone, the first track from their new studio album Skeleton Tree.
Accompanying the track is footage of the band performing the song taken from the new film about the band, One More Time With Feeling by Andrew Dominik (Chopper, The Assassination of Jesse James by The Coward Robert Ford).
The film will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 8 as part of what was originally intended as a 'one night only' programme of screenings at cinemas around the world (including QFT Belfast) prior to Skeleton Tree's release the following day.
However, its run has now been extended with additional presentations on September 9, 10 and 11.
Originally a 'performance based' concept, One More Time With Feeling evolved as Dominik explored the tragic backdrop of the writing and recording process for the 16th Bad Seeds LP.
It combines the Bad Seeds' filmed performance of their new album with interviews and other footage, accompanied by Nick Cave's intermittent narration and improvised rumination.
