Stendhal Festival of Art, today & Saturday August 13, Ballymully Cottage Farm, Limavady.

THIS year's Stendhal Festival gets underway today, kicking off a weekend of culture in the heart of deepest, darkest Limavady.

As ever, the award-winning event is heavily focused on homegrown talent, with the likes of Therapy?, The Bonnevilles, Ports, Ryan Vail, Brand New Friend, Woodburning Savages, Emerald Armada and Paddy Nash & The Happy Enchiladas joining Badly Drawn Boy, Le Galaxie, Hayseed Dixie and DJ Yoda on the line-up for today and tomorrow across the festival stages.

There's also comedy on offer with stand-up sets from Father Ted alumni Joe Rooney (Father Damo) and Patrick McDonnell (Eoin McLove), burlesque, if you prefer), titillating burlesque displays from scantily clad performers Soup DuJour, Shir Madness, Fifi La Roux and Dina Bon Coup, plus a nightly 'battle of the giants' featuring music, dance, fire and folklore.

Stendhal Tickets are still available, priced from £25 for access to the festival for tonight only up to £75 for a Family Weekend Ticket (two adults and up to four under 18s) including overnight camping.
