LES Miserables star Fra Fee and fellow actors Ciaran Hinds and Dan Gordon are to run theatre masterclasses for youngsters in Northern Ireland.

Theatre Masterclass NI (TMNI) was founded by Fee as a response to the abolishment of both the BBC Performing Arts Fund and Northern Ireland’s only higher level performing arts course.

The Co Tyrone native, who starred in the 2012 film version of Les Mis and is now in rehearsals for As You Like It at the National Theatre in London, has signed up Hinds, Gordon, theatre actor Kilian Donnelly (Kinky Boots, The Commitments) and film and TV casting director Carla Stronge (an Emmy Award Winner for Game of Thrones) as tutors.

The first TMNI event – aimed at 14 to 24-year-olds who who wish to establish a career in the musical theatre and performing arts industry - will be held in Belfast on Sunday November 15 and will continue monthly.
