PEARSE ÓG, BELFAST: The club will be hosting an evening of live music tomorrow evening in Cassidy’s Bar. Admission is £3 and doors will open at 8pm. Cairde an Piarsaigh have also organised a Charity Walk over the Cavehill in aid of the NI Hospice on Sunday, January 3. The meeting place is the Upper Cavehill Road at 10.45am. ST JOSEPH’S, BALLYMARTIN: Tickets for the lotto, which stands at £13,700, are available from various local sellers and outlets including Rafferty’s Garage, Dunnaman Shop, Cunningham’s Butcher, Molly’s Bar, Linda’s Shop, First & Last and The Ballymartin Inn.

ST MICHAEL’S, MAGHERALIN: The club will be holding the annual Christmas/New year quiz this Saturday night, January 2 in Byrne’s Bar, Magheralin, starting at 8pm.

ST MARY’S, KILLYMAN: Irish dancing classes have stopped for the Christmas holidays and will commence again in the new year. Ceili dancing classes have also ended for the Christmas holidays but will resume on January 5. There will be a Ceili dance in the Community Centre on January 16 at 9.30pm and it would be great to see as many people there as possible.


There will also be a family music session in the community centre on January 17 at 4pm. Please feel free to come along to this afternoon of music.

ST PATRICK’S, ROCK GFC: The club AGM will take place on Sunday, January 10 at 6pm. All members should please fill in a nomination form and return it by Friday January 8. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the club website. Please note there is a new position of health and well-being officer on the committee this year.

O’DONOVAN ROSSA, BELFAST: Around 200 hardy souls braved the wet and windy conditions on St Stephen’s Day for O’Donovan Rossa’s annual fun run/walk over Divis Mountain. This year’s chosen charity was SHINE (Spina bifida, Hydrocephalus Information Networking Equality) with around £1150 raised for the charity. O’Donovan Rossa GAC would like to thank all those who were involved on the day to make the event such a success and would like to wish all of members and friends a happy new year.
