Bohemians v Derry City (Friday, 7.45pm)

Derry City assistant boss Paddy McLaughlin is expecting Bohemians to be like a wounded animal going into Friday night's clash at Dalymount Park.

The former Cliftonville manager believes the Dubliners will be smarting from last Friday night's loss at old rivals Shamrock Rovers.

McLaughlin felt Declan Devine's side did more than enough to get something from Tallaght Stadium, so he expects them to be going out with all guns blazing against City this evening.

"Bohs played really well against Rovers, we watched it back, they had chances and played really well," he insisted.

"They'll be disappointed with the defeat, especially against their arch rivals in Shamrock Rovers, but they've been in a great run of form and they're top of the league for a reason.

"They've been very good and very strong throughout the opening phase of the season.

"From our point of view, it's important in our mindset that we go and attack the game, especially on the back of a good result at Drogheda, we want to go and try to win the game, because Dalymount is a venue where we've done well in down the years.

"The game will be played on a good surface, in front of a big crowd and it's a game that all the boys are looking forward to.

McLaughlin also confirmed that duo Cameron Dummigan and Mark Connolly are very close to making a comeback, after returning to training, but skipper Patrick McEleney is likely to be out for another few weeks.

"Cameron and Mark are edging really, really close to being involved again, which is a massive boost," he added.

"Patrick might need another week or two before he's back and obviously we're still waiting on the result of young Colm Whelan's scan. Hopefully there's not too much damage to his knee injury.

"So we've got good news with Cameron and Mark both training again, Patrick isn't too far away and that's not just a massive lift to the players in the team, but also the supporters of the club, because they know how important those players are and once we get everyone fit and available we'll have as good as squad as anyone has in this division."

Elsewhere tonight in the Premier Division, champions Shamrock Rovers travel to bottom side UCD; Dundalk host Cork City; St Patrick's Athletic entertain Drogheda United and tomorrow night Shelbourne make the trip to Sligo Rovers.

In the First Division, runaway leaders Galway United have home advantage over Wexford; Waterford face Cobh Ramblers; Kerry take on Athlone Town at Lissywollen and on Saturday evening Treaty United visit Longford Town.
