IN response to the article headlined 'DUP seek to define victim' (April 10) - the DUP often use terms terrorist and terrorism as if it was a given. Hence, I pose this question to Mr McCrea and others: Who or what is a terrorist (terrorism)?

Is it the country who with great force, violence and threats invades another (in our case Britain), killing citizens, stealing homes and lands, kidnapping children and shipping them to Barbados and other British colonies to be sold as slaves? Would the DUP define them as innocent victims? They were certainly terrorised by terrorists. Ethnically cleansing our island and installing strangers of their chosen religion and romantically calling it plantation or is it the group or individual who fights back to rid their country of that violent invader.
