It's time to pull the plug

IT is clear as day that we no longer have a peace process in Northern Ireland, rather we have an electioneering process. The DUP is now at the mercy of 'professional victims' who are still fighting a war inside their heads with a handful of republican nepotists, while Sinn Féin is experiencing a power vacuum following Gerry Adams's switch from west Belfast to Louth.

The British and Irish governments are also being held to ransom on the Northern Ireland issue by the Obama administration which seeks the support of the 'undocumented Irish' in their own country. Our duopoly will use this to extract adequate pathos by comparing 'themuns' to Al-Qaida. (A terror group created by the CIA through its support for the Afghan Mujahedin 30 years ago.)

It's about time we pulled the plug on all of this and focus on real issues that matter to the ordinary punter, such as the health service and the threat to local communities posed by emigration.

Let's just accept that unionists and republicans are different breeds.
