After announcing four highly anticipated Irish shows, bookies say the odds of Bruce Springsteen also headlining Glastonbury have fallen.

According to BoyleSports, the chances of The Boss heading to Worthy Farm reduced from 7/1 to 4/5.

Having already performed three sell-out gigs at Dublin’s RDS arena this year, Springsteen will kick off a 22-date European tour with the E-Street Band by playing Belfast’s Boucher Road on May 9, Nowlan Park in Kilkenny on May 12 as well as Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork on May 16.

Other potential Glastonbury headliners predicted by bookmakers include Coldplay (1/3) and Dua Lipa (1/2).

A miraculous, but unlikely, Oasis reunion has also been suggested at the slim odds of 16/1.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “It’ll be no surprise if Springsteen tickets disappear in the blink of an eye next week, but anyone eyeing up the trip to Glasto next summer could well be in for a Brucie bonus.”

Tickets for Springsteen’s Irish concerts go on sale November 6 at 8am via Ticketmaster.
