A BODY has been recovered by police searching for a missing person in Co Down.
The search took place in the Annalong area on Tuesday night.
A PSNI spokesperson said the search was conducted with the assistance of the Mourne Mountain Rescue Team.
"There are no further details at this time," they added.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Mourne Mountain Rescue Team said they joined the search shortly before 7.30pm on Tuesday.
"In conjunction with local police, a total of 12 members responded and stood down at 2310hrs. Our thoughts are with family, friends and all involved," they added.
