FAMILIES will be allowed to take part in Cemetery Sunday in Belfast this month for the first time in two years.

Bishop of Down and Connor Noel Treanor has blessed the graves in Belfast cemeteries since the start of the pandemic.

Families are now being welcomed back to pray for their loved ones.

The first Cemetery Sunday will take place in Milltown Cemetery this Sunday.

Similar events will take place in the City Cemetery on Sunday May 15 and in Hannahstown Cemetery on Sunday May 29.

All ceremonies are at 3pm.
