A shop in west Belfast has been attacked for the second time in days.

In the most recent incident, which happened at around 8.45pm last night, a masked man smashed windows in the Northumberland Street premises. He was armed with what is believed to have been a hammer and wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, grey trainers, a dark coloured jacket with a distinctive orange jacket underneath.

Police said that at around 8.15pm last Thursday two masked men threw the contents of a tin of driveway sealant around the shop, targeting high value items.

Police said it was a newly opened business and described the attacks as "disgraceful".
