An estimated £14,000 worth of damage has been caused to a Co Down business following a fire, which police are treated as suspected arson.

Police received a report at around 2.40am today of a fire at an auto repair business on the Cloonagh Road in Downpatrick.

Several vehicles were damaged as a result of the blaze.

A PSNI spokesman said enquiries into the incident are "under way" and appealed for anyone with information to contact police on 101.
