DISSIDENT republican group Saoradh will hold its Easter commemoration online, making it three years since such an event has taken place in Derry.

The Easter Monday commemoration was moved online last year because of the Covid-19 crisis and was cancelled in 2019 in the days following the murder of Lyra McKee.

Ms McKee (29) was shot dead by a New IRA gunman while observing riots in the Creggan.

Confirming that the commemoration was being moved online for a second year because of the coronavirus crisis, a Saoradh spokesman said followers could watch events online.
