A WOMAN was left "badly shaken" after a shotgun was fired through the window of her Co Tyrone home.

The attack happened in Millbrook Gardens, Castlederg at around 11.20pm on Friday and police were alerted by reports of an explosion.

A PSNI spokeswoman described it as "a reckless attack", adding it was "fortunate that no one was injured".

"Our enquiries into this matter continue and I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or knows anything about this to call detectives at Strand Road on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 2568," she said.
