THE PSNI and Garda bands will play a joint concert in Ballymena as part of a good relations project.

The cross-community Good Relations Concert will take place in the Braid Arts Centre on March 5 at 7.30pm.

The project features groups from Harryville, Dunclug and Doury Road and was funded by the Executive Office.

A spokesperson for The Carson Project, which is involved in the initiative, said “We are delighted to have the opportunity to build on several years of good relations work in Ballymena and surrounding areas. This project has built capacity to work together for the benefit of local groups”.

Dunclug Youth Forum which is also involved said the project had provided "so many opportunities for young people to come together to explore differences and also to find common ground on a range of issues”

A spokesperson for Doury Road Development Group said: “This is a very unique project that offers local groups practical ways of working together to build capacity and work together to deliver good relations activities”.
