Over 1,500 people have attended the annual Lights to Remember service in Belfast hosted by NI Hospice.

The annual event, which is now in its 24th year, was held at Dominican College in the north of the city, and featured a Christmas carol service before attendees walked with tea lights towards the Hospice building on nearby Somerton Road.

A spokesperson for NI Hopsice said: "Our Lights to Remember Celebration is a place to remember and share the grief we all feel at the loss of our most dear loved ones. A time when we can come together to share our thoughts and emotions with many others who have known the same experience."
