A 19-YEAR-OLD man has been attacked with baseball bats and a hammer during a burglary in Co Antrim.
The attack happened after several masked men forced their way into a house on Whinfield Walk in Carrickfergus at around 10pm yesterday.
Police said the man sustained several "serious injuries" and is being treated in hospital.
A PSNI spokesman appealed for information.
