A WOMAN in her forties was taken to hospital last night following a one-car crash in Co Armagh.

It is understood the woman's car left the road and hit a tree around 6.40pm.

The crash happened on the Clady Road, close to the junction with the Tullywill Road, in Newtownhamilton.

It is thought the woman later had to be cut out of her car.

She was taken to hospital although her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Sinn Féin councillor Barra Ó Muirí said the "focus of the entire community is on the condition of the injured person and we are praying and hoping for their recovery".
