A 34-year-old man was today being questioned by police after a cannabis factory was uncovered in Co Fermanagh.

Officers conducting a search of a property in Newtownhamilton seized 42 adult plants and equipment used to cultivate cannabis.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.

Inspector Darryl Johnston said: "This was a significant discovery by officers working to keep the community safe.

"Our investigation is ongoing and anyone who has information that could assist us should contact police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 1744 of 10/05/21," he said.
