Pedestrian dies after accident involving lorry in Belfast city centre

A female pedestrian who died after an accident involving a lorry in Belfast city centre was 48-year-old Lorraine Burrows, police have confirmed.

The accident happened at around 8am today on Wellwood Street which runs between Sandy Row and Great Victoria Street.

Inspector David Gibson said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the area this morning and witnessed this incident to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 198 of 21/11/17”.
