FIVE teenagers have been rescued after becoming stranded while fishing on the Co Antrim coast.

The group were cut off by the tide and left standing on rocks at the Black Arch on the outskirts of Larne.

RNLI crew members gave the teenagers life jackets before helping them on to a small rescue boat and transferring them to the larger RNLI vessel.

Larne RNLI Helm Willie Evans said none of the group had suffered injury, adding "apart from being a little cold everyone was okay".

The drama unfolded on Monday night.
