POLICE investigators have returned to the scene of a crash in Co Down that claimed the life of a man in his seventies last September.
Robert Wiseman, a former British Aerospace engineer, had been on the Killough Road outside Downpatrick on September 5 when his grey Peugeot 3008 collided with a blue-coloured New Holland tractor that was towing a trailer.
Police, fire, ambulance and the Air Ambulance NI had all responded, with Mr Wiseman taken to hospital where he died from his injuries on September 16.
With three children and one grandchild, Alliance councillor Cadogan Enright spoke of his shock at the time, noting that Mr Wiseman form Killough had been known for his work on wind turbines.
On Sunday morning, there was another road closure at the scene of the crash as officers from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit returned.
