A MISSING woman whose body was found in east Belfast has been described as an "incredible lady".

Tributes have been paid to Karen Lane (51), who disappeared from the Albertsbridge Road area almost two weeks ago.

Described by her family as a "kind, loving grandmother", tragically on Sunday evening they were given the devastating news that her body had been found in thr Templemore Avenue area.

The mother-of-four had been last seen on October 23 when she was captured on CCTV in a shop on Templemore Avenue.

Following her disappearance, police and her family had launched appeals for help in locating her.

Ms Lane had moved to South Africa from Belfast aged 10 before returning home six years ago to care for her own mother.

Relatives told of how the grandmother-of-eight had battled alcohol addiction and mental health issues in recent years, but had hoped she would be located safe and well.

But police confirmed on Sunday that officers searching for the missing woman had found a body.
