A MAN charged in connection with a £300,000 drugs seizure in Co Antrim has made admissions to police, a court heard today.
Andrew Ferguson (26) is accused of having a haul of cannabis and cocaine recovered during searches of a property at Templepatrick in March this year.
Ferguson, of Ballyvesey Court in Newtownabbey, appeared before Belfast Magistrates' Court on charges of possessing Class A and B drugs with intent to supply.
He is understood to have been arrested after handing himself in at a PSNI station.
An investigating detective said he could connect him to the alleged offences.
Although no bail application was mounted, a defence lawyer revealed Ferguson's attitude to the charges.
"The only evidence against this man are the admissions he made yesterday," the solicitor said.
"There is a co-accused who was charged nearly four months ago, and we hope this case can be fast-tracked given the admissions he (Ferguson) has made."
Ferguson was remanded in custody to appear again by video-link in four weeks time.
