Prison drama Orange Is The New Black is set to return with a heart-stopping scene that ends with a shot being fired.
The hit Netflix series is gearing up for season five which will take place over the course of three days filmed in real time.
The new trailer shows the first 60 seconds of a tense few days for the inmates of Litchfield Prison.
Season four ended with tensions running high after popular inmate Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley) was accidentally killed by guards and Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco) got hold of one of their guns which she was aiming at a prison officer.
The new episode opens with a riot breaking out as inmates urge Dayanara to fire the gun at a nervous guard kneeling on the floor in front of her.
Meanwhile, lead characters Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) are seen stumbling across the dangerous situation and fleeing the scene.
Dayanara pleads with the inmates to calm down so she can think and, as the cameras turn away from the scene, a gunshot can be heard… but it is unclear who has fired it and whether anyone has been hit.
Fans of the programme wrote of their excitement about the new season.
