Reality show There's No Place Like Tyrone has been recommissioned for a third series.
The scripted BBC NI series follows the lives of people living and working in the mid-Ulster countryside.
The show was first broadcast last year with a second series broadcast at the start of this year.
Critics have dismissed the show's portrayal of life in Co Tyrone.
However, the show has been popular with audiences and some of the cast, notably Lynda Hamilton, a full-time farmer from Omagh, and her partner Bobby Patterson, a part-time farmer from Raphoe in Co Donegal, have become minor celebrities.
A series of new shows have also been commissioned by the BBC to be shown over the next few months.
They include a cookery programme with BBC One’s Best Home Cook winner Suzie Lee, a new user-generated content series hearing directly from the Northern Ireland public about what’s happening in their lives, a new comedy pilot with comedian Paddy Raff and an ‘at home’ version of Keeping ’Er Country featuring singer Nathan Carter and others.
A new series of True North films has also been commissioned.
They include single programmes including When Boxing Ends, looking at what happened to boxers when they retire from the ring; Ormiston – Ultimate Home Restoration, which follows the restoration of this grand east Belfast property, and Saving The Shipyard, which documents the workers’ protest at Harland and Wolff.
