WEARING a patch that heats the skin could banish warts. Research in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology involving 15 patients found the patches – which contain a chemical that heats the skin to 43c – for two hours a day got rid of warts completely in nearly half the volunteers. One theory is that heat boosts the immune system response by increasing blood flow and, therefore, the availability of virus-fighting cells.
