LISBURN-based electrical manufacturing specialist Camlin Group has appointed a former senior Oracle manager to spearhead a major expansion push into the US.

Keith Redfearn, a former vice-president for operations and asset technology solutions at Oracle, has joined Camlin as president and CEO of Camlin Americas.

He brings a wealth of commercial experience of software services and platforms and has a significant track record in providing a partnership approach with key accounts.

His expertise is being seen as invaluable as Camlin looks to achieve double digit revenue growth through deeper engagement with customers and widening the company’s propositions to include a greater mix of digital services and software.

His background also complements Camlin’s strategic focus on delivering increasingly integrated solutions, including data services, consultancy and software platforms across its key markets.

In January Camlin, which has a global presence at facilities in 21 cities across 17 countries, reported 2020 sales of £40 million and profits of more than £4 million, but is projecting driving revenues through the £100 million mark within the next five years as it monetises a number of long-term contracts in the global energy and rail sectors.

Keith said: “I’m excited to be joining Camlin Group to help lead its ambitious plans to expand its services and portfolio in the Americas.

“The group’s strategic focus to strengthen the development and delivery of increasingly integrated grid solutions creates important opportunities for accelerating the low-carbon transition and modernising network infrastructure across the world, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues in the Americas to create the grid systems of the future.”

Camlin Group chief executive Peter Cunningham said: “The US and wider Americas region will play a critical role in the growth trajectory for the Group and this senior appointment reflects our substantial investment in the region.

“Keith brings an unrivalled commercial understanding of the energy industry and developing software platforms and solutions. I am looking forward to working closely with him and the wider senior leadership team to continue our growth plans in the region.”
