BELFAST-based Civica, a market leader in specialist software, technology and outsourcing services which help organisations transform the way they work, has strengthened its senior management team as it looks to further expand the business across Ireland.
The company - which a year ago acquired the £6m-turnover software consultancy firm Asidua - has named Angela Canavan as managing director for its Digital Solutions Ireland team.
She has taken over from Dr Steve Brankin, who had been at the helm since Asidua was formed in 2002.
And she says she is keen to build on the company’s recent successes and is "excited" about the future for Civica.

In the north's public sector, Civica Digital Solutions Ireland is a strategic technology provider with solutions helping automate crucial services for the Psni and deliver the next generation of citizen services for NI Direct with BT.
Globally the team’s unique telecoms capability provides equipment manufacturers with a range of market leading products and associated expert services.
Before her new appointment, Queen's University computer science graduate Angela was part of the management buy-out team which formed Asidua in October 2002, subsequently becoming its chief operations officer, where she had direct responsibility for the company's operations, as well as ensuring the operational excellence of all services delivered by the company.
