IF YOU'VE still not got a ticket for the Stendhal Festival – and you've left it a tad late, given that it starts today – perhaps the prospect of seeing top Irish laughter magician David O'Doherty there will be what finally swings it for you.

OK, so the Yamaha keyboard-wielding comedian will also be touring Ireland later in the year, but why wait when you can see him this very Saturday in a muddy field in the middle of nowhere, AKA Limavady?

The DOD toured in America with Flight of The Conchords last year before returning home for a record-breaking 11-night run of shows at Whelan's, which is quite small, to be fair.

However, 2016 also saw the Dublin-bred musical jokester winning rave reviews on his largest ever British tour for current show, Big Time, which he'll be bringing to Stendhal's Karma Valley Stage tomorrow evening at 7pm.

"I'm trying to balance the two divergent goals of a really silly show that also smashes fascism," says O'Doherty.

Sounds like a good Saturday night out to me.
