Lanciatore a dark comic drama – with juggling

David Roy

IN A medieval Italy gripped by a credit crunch, young street juggler Lanciatore has a plan to steer his young family out of the red into the black: all he has to do is borrow money from a loan shark, buy his way into a card game and win big.

Premiering at the Belfast Circus School today, Lanciatore – The Juggling Man is a dark, socially relevant comedy from writer Paul Kennedy. The Rawlife Theatre Company production promises to bring "a comedic spectacle of movement, rhythm and music" to the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival.

Performers include Terrance Keely as Lanciatore, Roisin Gallagher (Lally The Scut), Michael Liebmann, Jo Donnelly, Claire Connor and Julie McCann.
