Leinster Rugby have announced that tickets are sold out for their clash against English side Northampton Saints in Croke Park.

With the Europa League final taking place in the Aviva Stadium, the 2022 and 2023 runners-up selected GAA HQ as their chosen “neutral venue”, a privilege afforded to them due to their results to date in the competition.

Sales were faster than anticipated, with the quarter-final victory over Ronan O’Gara’s La Rochelle also selling out the Aviva, but there will be 30,000 more bums on seats this time around.

Their opponents Saints have an allocation of around 10,000 tickets, with Leinster returning to the site of a famous Heineken Cup semi-final win over arch-rivals Munster and O’Gara back in 2009.

The final of the rebranded Investec Champions Cup is fixed for London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, May 25.
